Spring in Baker County

Rained hard all day and the snow level is just above us.  Cold, cold, doesn't feel much like spring.  Got 1" and 20 hundreths of rain in 24 hours!  That's alot for us.  The heaters ran in the greenhouse all day.  Have 8,000 tomatoes started.  Lots of heirlooms.  I think there are 82 varieties.  Will have to have a tomato tasting day!!
Mollie planted lots of wave petunias last week and they are starting to take off and grow.  It smells like spring  in the greenhouse even if it doesn't feel like it outside.  Off to change my irrigating water up in the field.

Spring is here

Beautiful day!!  The sun is shining and it is 53 degrees.  I planted a half row of Nantes Carrots and half row of White Egg Turnips. The soil is just right and the tiller even started on the 3rd try. The hard neck garlic is popping out of the ground and the soft neck is already 4" tall.
